| LOWERING BLOCK KITS FOR |
| 1997-2002 S10\BLAZER |
| COMPLETE WITH PLATES |
| 1997-2002 Chevy
S10 Pickup and Blazers have a narrower plate on the axle that locates leaf
spring. When adding 3" and 4" lowering blocks, block plates must be used.
Installing block kits without the plates on these years will damage the
block. The plates are simple to install with no special tools required. |

Installing lowering blocks with plates is easy. First support frame
with jack stands. Remove wheels.
Doing one side at a time, remove
u-bolts. Using a hydraulic jack , raise the axle away from the leaf springs.
Place block on leaf spring (Fig 1). Next set plate
on top of block. (Fig 2&3). Lower axle down so
the weight is on the block. Install and tighten the u-bolts to 80 lbs. Repeat
this procedure on the other side of the vehicle. Cut off any excess u-bolt. It
is recommended to make a habit of retightening the u-bolts every few months.
Refer to diagram (Fig
4) for details of assembly. |
